Not sure, a friend of mine is going to re-do my transmission for me. He just going to rebuild it and it is going to end up being at least 300$(just for the parts), if it comes up I will ask him about your Accord. He is a transmission specialist, so if I can find you again I'll let you know what he says!TTFN

I say purchase another car with a manual transmission. There are so many parts to consider, and there is so much cost involved.I have done the swap on my 1996 Accord and it was a nightmare for me. I ended up swapping it back to an automatic after the clutch pedal ripped out of the firewall. Seems there is a mount missing in the dash to stabilize the clutch pedal, which meant removing the dash from the car and god knows what else. The "performance" shop that did the work charged me $800 to get it in and then tried to get me for $1500 to change it back, I saw highway robbery and took it to a transmission shop who gave me more of a fair price to change it back. Also discovered there is a different cruise controller with a manual.Other then those two things its just a transmission, one of the mounts, clutch (make sure you get a new clutch and pressure plate while you are at it) new axles and hubs (different between auto and manual) clutch master cylinder, a shifter (at your local junkyard), all pedals (gas, brake, clutch), shifter cables (and if you are lucky you can get yourself a set of junkyard cables uncut or you will have to chock up $300 for a new set at the dealership) and the clutch lines. There are a few other things, but you asked how much, not if you should, so I am giving you the parts basics. I think everything for me came to $2500 initially (junkyards, autozone, dealership) and another $1000 to have it changed back.

You could probably find another 99 accord with a manual for what it would cost to do the conversion. There are so many parts that people forget about when they think of doing this. You will need a transmission, a good used one around $1,000, a different mount for the tranny $ 100, an ECU from a manual accord, around $400, The shift linkage, $250, the new center console to accept the shifter$150, the shifter, $100, all of the clutch components, pedal, brace, clutch master cylider, around $1,000, new axles as the auto and manual ones are different, $300, plus the labor for a shop to do the install correctly $1,500-$3,000.
