Default 2000 S2000 with 65,000miles or 2002 S2000 with 77,000miles?

the 2000 S2000 with 65K miles is around $14,000 and it has new soft top with glass window. The 2002 S2000 with 77K miles is around $13,500 Which one should I buy? the'00 has spoiler, front lip and many other upgrades..(not performance upgrades).the 02 is stock and I think the mileage is pretty high for the year.which one would you choose????

the 02 with the higher mileage. as a dealer the newer of the two will hol its value longer than the 2000. and if you plan on financing the car you will need stellar credit or pay cash for either one. banks usually will only finance a car thats 5 years old anything older will leave you with a higher interest rate. if they buy the loan at all.

Do they have service records? Do you know if they were owned by kids or adults? Buy the one that has proof of maintaince and appears to have had the easier life. The 2000 might have lower miles but it could have been beat up by a kid. But the 2002 could have had an adult owner and has all the service records. Then the 2002 would be a better deal. 2000 did have a problem with the #4 cylinder failing. Be sure that was addressed. I wouldn't sweat the miles so much, they are Hondas. With cars like the S2000, signs of abuse and service history are most important. Do the research and make the best choice from there.

Is the car clean title? If so than the 02 is a better choice. If not clean title than look for a better deal on those car. Got the 00 for less than 12k and could go for lower.
