No, turbos are not bad for a high mileage Honda. Since you are a driving a 4dr LX, I want to let you know that a turbo will ruin your automatic transmission if you are equipped with one. Make sure your motor is in good/healthy condition and keep it up to date with maintenance. Do a compression and leak down test to make sure your engine is ready and there aren't any existing problems. Also, it is a good idea to replace the water pump, oil pump, spark plugs/wires etc. (high mileage maintenance if you're not up to date). Make sure its tuned properly as well.
