Default Best engine swap?

I have a 98 integra ls 5 spd. I was wondering what was the best engine swap for this car. I'm thinking of three right now the b18c1(gs-r), the b18c5(itr), and the h22(prelude). Any suggestions.

The easiest upgrade for this car is a DOHC vtec head. Use the existing block for a LS\VTEC setup. Very popular and puts out pretty good numbers. You have all the accessories in teh current car. Just pickup a used DOHC VTEC head on ebay for $500-$700. Basically bolts on. Get a new head gasket and new vtec timing belt. Distributor etc should work fine with new head.

The H22 is the strongest however it's too big and it requires alot of modification. The B18C1 is cool and all however it's not as tough as the B18C5. I suggest the B18c5 perfect fit. Or better yet just get a B16A head and put it on your and you'd be faster then a type R. this process is called the LSR or LS VTEC. But the down side to it is that it can't be used for daily driving and if you want it to run right you need to take it to the shop. Cost only like a few hundred dollars.

If you do the LS/VTEC swap you will need the conversion kit as well, your current motor doesn't have an oil feed line for your VTEC solenoid. But the GSR motor B18c1, or the B18c5 Type-r motor are your best bets. Like the other guy said the H22 is ALOT of moving stuff out of the way. The B18c1 is the most cost effective as they are generally about half of the cost of the B18c5. And since the GSR integra came with this motor if you need parts after the swap you can just tell tem its a GSR instead of the LS.

your best bet would be the ls/vtec especially if you on a budget bc a ls/vtec with a b16 is killing gsr's so cross the gsr off the list. h22 is to heavy so either go with the ls/vtec or do a crvtec torque monster right there
