No sound difference at all. the gases out of your engine will hit your stock muffler first, killing the sound. You will have to get a whole new muffler if you want the sound, If you want performance, you will need to get a complete exhaust system.

I think those sort of tips used to be called cherry bombs emm, but anyway as far as i know for exhausts, the cheaper they are, the louder they are. not so much powerful noise as just noise. but it will not improve emissions & power may even drop! and why o why do you want to make your car louder..?.

Dude if you really want the exhaust sound buy the tip and take it to a muffler shop. Them tell them to cut your stock exhaust form the catilyc and new pipe with tip. This my friend will give you nice deep sound and you can still pass emissions.

You are looking at a muffler, yes it will change the sound. Just putting a muffler on will make it sound like crap. You need whole exhaust. I did 2.5" pipe with headers and high flow cat, and also dual exhaust on a car that came with single exhaust. It sounded great. Like no other honda I've ever heard. Deep as hell and mean sounding. I used Powertech mufflers. The ones with the dual 4" tips. Total cost me about $800-900. It sounded great, but was very loud inside the car. Interstate driving was hell. I rode it for almost 2 years and switched back to stock pipes with my headers and high flow cat and stock mufflers with tips that looked just like my old mufflers. Dual 4" tips. Instead of cutting the exhaust pipe off the stock muffler, I had them weld the new dual tip over the stock pipe. It actually does nothing but sit there and look good. Back to no noise in my car and still looks the same. Although, the tip route was far more expensive in the end after switching everything back. Those tips were almost $120 a piece where I only paid $75 for each of the Powertech mufflers.
