Default Am I the only one that always gets static shock when I get out of my 04 Honda Civic?

It never fails! It pisses me off sometimes because you here a big SNAP when i go to close the door. It's not very pleasant.

happes alot when you slide off your seat. an easy way to avoid it is touch a piece of the vehicle metal to ground yourself, then get out. eg...open window and hold door while sliding out...

It is caused by static electricity when you drive or sitting on your car seat. Before i also had that kind of problem, just put a piece of metal as your keychain and touch it before you close the door.

i had the same problem with my '00civic. it has to do with the material they covered the seats with. (especially bad with levi & tshirt combo). just get used to it, or get leather interior.
