if the mileage is clost to 80,000 you should have the timing belt replaced. also depends on what kind of build you are doing, if youre doing a N/A build then you want high compression, if you want to boost with a turbo, youll want lower compression parts

Well you can change the camshaft, re do the valves( meaning rebuil the head) put a new head gasket, change the oil, and check for leaks around the engine.

If going turbo and planning to run more than 8 lbs of boost, you will need to completley build the motor. You will need pistons, connecting rods, valves, valve springs, retainers, cams, cam gears, timing belt, fuel injectors, an engine management system such as a greddy e-manage, and preferably a crank. The stock internals on these engines dont hold boost over 8 lbs very well and if you push it you will see a pretty explosion under your hood. I build these motors all the time and if you need any advice feel free to contact me at hondab16tuner@yahoo.com. I can lead you in the direction that you want to build your engine.

first off you dont need a new crank ls cranks can handle 600hp which i dobut you gonna be pushin you do need the pistons and rods and all that good stuff...if u going turbo you should resleeve the block especially if u goin high boost or go the other route and just get a block guard and ALOT of head work bc that ls head not as good as vtec heads as we all kno

I would completely agree with b16tuner above less the crank. The stock cranks are tough, you will fell it when you take it out. The rest he is dead on, new lower compression pistons if you go high boost turbo, injectors etc. He hit it on the nose!
