i had a 91 accord with same thing. the S stand for "sport" mode on the transmission. don't know exactly what it does, but it has something to do with how the transmission changes gears. mine never blinked on but it shouldn't be a concern as far as the car breaking down. try to turn "sport" off by pressing the button on the shifter. hope this helps

Yeah I had the same car its the sport button on your shifter and mine started blinking just before my transmission died so umm yeah hopefully thats not the problem unless you have it in sport mode all the time and its just a reminder that its on and you should turn it off so check the sport button on the shifter and turn it off and see if that helps best i can say

I have a 1991 accord lx. As it says in my owner's manual, when the S light is constantly off, that means you are in normal gearing. When it is constantly on, you are in sports gearing. When the S light is blinking, that means you have transmission problems. You should seriously go get it checked out.hope this helps
