It may be a fuse. Check the fuse panel inside inside your car (owners manual should say where it is). There will probably be a diagram saying what fuse serves what function. Follow that, or just do a visual inspection for any fuses that have a broken connection inside of them.

this alarm will not sound untill the door is opened....so with the key turned off is normal...now if it doest sound when the door is opened then more than likley u have a bad door switch...but if its only when the switch is turned off then its normal

I just had the dealer look at this exact same problem on our 03 Civic. The problem turned out to be a broken door switch. It's a cheap part ~$12 and the fix was about $60 total. But it beats having a dead battery.
