it depends where the problems are coming from. if its engine, you can get a decent motor swap such as a b16 sir II for about $2500, or get a cheap D series which can be under a grand. honda parts are not expensiive at all, thats why so many kids modify them, the parts a cheap, theres little maintenance, and they can run forever if taken care of.check www.hmotorsonline.com for engines

Well, as I see you got two options. You can fix it, or sell it to me for $200 so I can have another parts car (joking, unless you want to). You can have a new engine put in, one from Japan with very low miles, tranny are very cheap aswell. This is what I have to do to my 96 lx, #4 piston is down and I'm burning alot of oil. So I am putting in a new motor with about 35,000 mile on it. My car will go for another 200,000 miles, as long as I don't drive it like I used to. You can find a motor for around $500-$750, and labor will be around $600-1000 dependin where you go. As far as other things that might be breaking or wearing out, try to use a good brand of parts, like from Oreillys or Napa, avoid autozone. Keep your oil change every 3000 mile, plugs and filters every 15,000, and timing belt , water pump every 75,000 miles. Hope this helps.Good luck
