Default What causes headlights to dim on a 88' honda accord?
For some reason when I turn on my headlights sometimes the brights indicator comes on the dash,..and the brights come on first. Then when i click it back...to regular lighting...the headlights seem dimmer than usual. It doesn't happen all the time though.

Possibly faulty circuit or wire connection.

Probably a short in your wiring. Your local autozone can usually hook it up and run diagnostics free of charge. If they cant because of the age of the vehicle, id take a trip to your local dealership.

First up if the lights have a mind of their own when you first turn them on then i would go streight to the colomn switch, as for the dimming you may have a bad earth wire somewhere in the headlamp circuit.
