i just bought a stock 1995 honda del sol and i want to turn it into a street racing car. im looking to put about 30k into performance parts. i want it fast but still a daily driver. what should i buy parts wise? ex: turbos, engine type, suspension,ect.....) and please dont give me that "sell that ricer car" stuff. this is another of my little project cars.

Due whatever you want to it, but please, keep it on the track. You are not only endangering yourself and the other driver on the street, but anyone in the area as well.

Damn! 30K is a lot. You won't need even a 3rd of that to make it fast. Depends how deep into performance you're willing to go. You could easily pick up a full GSR swap for about 2,500 or 3. That alone will give you plenty of power. Then just turbo charge it. MSD ignition, 450cc injectors, cam gears. OR if its a 1.6 Single v-tec delsol like mine then save some more money and just boost that motor with all the necessary bolt ons. Honestly do a lot of research on the web because it gets really deep with info. Good luck!

First of all, street racing? Go race on a track and keep your ego races away from where my wife and daughter are on the roads! Second, if you have 30k to spend, why not ditch the car and buy a Subaru STI??? Sorry, but you are wasting your cash on the Del Sol....

I agree, sell it an get a 335 or something ..I have a civic that is moded and is fast for what it is...but honestly puttin 30K into a del sol, the options are simple..A) the car will be so fast you will kill yourself or others. B) its a del sol, with a car so small it will no longer be a daily drive, you will need another vehicle, C) nowadays hondas especially (street racing) type vehicles are one of the most stolen vehicles, and its NO worser feeling than to put money into a car and have it taken from you..in your case that would mean 30K down the drain..so be wise, make your decision a smart one..and most of all Drive safe! Too many Lives are being taking from street Racing
