Yes, the Civic Si (the hatchback you refer to) only had a manual transmission.....

Generally the hatchback model is the SI which is the sport version, therefore it is only manual.

you happen to be thinking about the si. every si honda makes is a manual. but that generation of the si is pretty lame. the new one is what it is all about. it is a lot quicker. and also a coupe.
