The 95 accord ex had a sohc f22 2.2 L vtec engine that made 145 horses instead of 130 like the non vtec engine. On a civic, the EX and Si trims had the more powerful sohc vtec equipped D16Z6,The SiR was equipped with the dohc 1.6 L B16A1 with VTEC.

The EX model is the only accord between 94-97 to have a SOHC vtec engine. The engine code is f22b1 and comes with 145 hp and 147 ft lbs of torque. The LX and DX comes with the f22b2 non vtec engine. In 1995 honda introduced the v6 accord, and in that case, it does not have vtec.
