There would only be one driver driving across the states, and has to take their Honda CRV and a U-Haul (not a huge one, just the small caddy one or the next one up) but they need to be attached some way. And there will be a baby in the vehicle.

You need to contact U-Haul to get the correct answer. U-Haul has many regulations concerning what can safely to what and has spent years working out the bugs.http://store.uhaul.com/hitches.aspxAccording to what I find only the AWD or FWD CRV's can tow a U-Haul Trailer.
