How long do Honda Civic Hybrid batteries last?

the hybrid batteries last an average of 10 yrs. never buy a used hybrid. they may have battery problems and the used wont last as long

I was told by a Honda Technician that the battery will last you up to probably 10 to 15 years depending on how you drive.

As long as it is "charged" to get the power from it. because you can not expect something from a dead battery.

Did you EVER have a battery that lasted more than 5 years? take a look at your own history- car battery: 4 to 5 years- laptop battery: 3 to 4 years- flashlight battery: 2 to 4 yearsI have heard from autobody repairshops that have replaced these batteries because of an accident. Replacement batteries have cost as high as $10,000 not the 3 or 4 that many dealers claim. Hybrid batteries will be the NEXT environmental disaster. It is foolish to recycle cars at 5 or 6 years, just because it is too expensive to get new batteries. There IS NO ENERGY saving in melting down a car to start all over.
