Default Si Cluster Swap for 99 DX Hatch?
Hi everyone,I have a 99 civic DX hatch... doesn't have a tachometer... I'm planning to purchase a Si cluster from ebay and swap it with mine... does tach work right after swap? Do I need any additional wiring from distributing block? I read some where that mention all civic has pre-wire for tach... but i don't trust the source... and I couldn't find any do-it-yourself article on this swap.Any help would greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!!

Plug and play....it will work just fine.I've done the same thing more than once.

No need! I did it and it just worked. Apparently, wiring for the one w/ tach is similar to w/o tach. Good luck.

All civics have the same wiring behind the dash, when you pull out your factory cluster look in there and locate another plug similiar to the one attached to the back of the cluster. All you have to do is unplug your factory harnesses, replug them in the same spot, plug in the unplugged harness to the open slot and VOILA!! you are done. It takes maybe 15 minutes.

is it possible to swap the back of the speedometer so I can keep the same number of kms?
