Default Maintenance required on '99 Honda Civic was always red, now its green, what does it mean?

When I bought my used civic, the maintenance required thing was always red, I thought if it 'came on' it would light up red, but now its green. I lost my owners manual, does anyone know if green is good or bad?

you must've reset it by mistake or after the recent oilchange or any type of maintenance you've done on the car the mechanics did it for you. You souldn't worry about it if you know you've taken good care/maintenance of your car.

green is goodit must have gotten reset when you had some maintenance work done like an oil changeon my honda accord...I can change it from red to green by inserting the key in the little slot near itI believe it changes to red after a preset number of miles driven since the last reset/maintenance work

The Maint. light knows absolutly NOTHING about your car!!! The ONLY reason it turned to green is either (A) someone reset it by pushing a key into the little slot next to the Odometer... OR (B) the car has gone enough miles to switch from red to green. Honda put this in the car for two reasons... one to basically freak customers out to think something was wrong so you would bring to the dealer and that way they could screw you into a service and two to help remind you to change your oil ( the only problem it turns to yellow every 7500 miles when you should change your oil every 3000)
