What do you do once you find the tachometer pickup wire at the distributor (Blue wire)? The tachometer is for a 1998 Honda Civic DX.What do you do once you find the tach pickup wire at the distributor? I need to know what to do now if I were to hook up a tachometer to my 1998 Honda Civic DX.

Well most tachs use a 3 wire set up one is the pick up wire you need to tie the tack wire into. Then there should be a ground wire which should be hooked to a good chasis ground with the paint scratched off to make a good contact. Then the 12V illumination source which I usually tie in at the fuse box with the headlight fuse. This is what tells the tach to light up at night.
