It's kind of like a black box -- tells how fast he went, where he went, things like that. I know newer cars allow it but I don't know about a 94 Honda

yeah it is possible. they have tracking devices that you can look up on the computer that shows you the location on a map. But if your son ever finds out you did this to his car...he wil probably hate you forever. i would only install this if he is a serious problem child. otherwise relax, and have some faith that your teen will make the right decisions in life.

I think what you are referring to is the device that connects to the OBD II data connector (like the Davis CarChip E/X with Alarm) and stores data on parameters like speed, etc so you can dnld it to your PC. The 94 Civic is pre-OBD II therefore you would have to get an OBD I compatible device, but I can't tell you if that is available. If it is, it should work. My cursory search did not reveal any.
