Default How can I shift without steping on the clutch from 1st into 2nd? I have a civic 03 ex?

I heard there is a way but you have to be at rpm or speed to do so. Anyone know it for a civic 2003?

You are not supposed to do that. The clutch is meant to be pressed with shifting gears.

You can do it if your transmission is not under any pressure. In otehr words you are not accelerating or decelerating due to engine speed.

get rolling in 1st about 10mph and pull it out of gear and try to push into 2nd if it grinds then you gotta slow the rpms down or speed them up. you will be at the right speed if it just wants to fall right in gear without grinding. it takes some practice and every car is different. i used to drive my integra that way. i drive all sticks that way. semi trucks or other diesels are great for practicing that. have fun.

your probably better not to do this .. it is possible but the timing has to be right too much mis shifting and your looking at a new trany .. $$$$$$$ shifting that way wont make the car go faster or make you a cool dude .. it will just be harder on your car unless you know what your doing ..

I wouldn't try that. There is a way but I personally wouldn't risk messing up your gears/transmission and shelling out big bucks to get your transmission fixed.
