The dealer charged me $450 for the alarm system. Can anybody who owns a car just like mine tell if this is right or wrong?

The LX doesnt come with the factory alarm like the EX and Si, you get it from the dealer so they will charge you for it

The alarm is not standard on the DX and LX model like the new honda civics sold in australia but I'm sure you carhas an engine immobiliser which is standard across the range. When I bought my Honda civic VTi(which is australia'sentry level model) they said the alarm is optional on the basemodel. The reason alarms are not standard on some cars because some people hate alarms
