Have it inspected by a reputable repair garage.Something simple as a vacuum line leak can cause this kind of condition, and being that old of a vehicle. When was the last time it had a tune-up?Many things can cause this kind of condition.I had the same problem with a 95 Toyota and it turned out to be a broken port to a vacuum line from the Thermal Vacuum Swith.

She may love her accord. But she needs to find a newer car. That happened to my unlce, he had an oldy and he had to fix this and that. after years of fixing he expended about $5000 on his car. He had to listen to me and get a newer car becuase his had a electrical problem that no one could fix. He had to junk his babe after $5000 !!!

Replace the engine mounts on the front and rear of the engine. Replace the pulg wires and the spark plugs. replace the ignition coil, cap and rotor to be save and to bring the engine up to perfect running condition. Once you do this the car will pump another 100000 miles out of it.
