Default Can you change the ignition on a 1999 Honda Accord?

If we change the locks on a car, my friend's ex could still break the window and start the carHe is a complete idiot. He wants to take it and sell it for crack money

yes the ignition can be change in just about any car except for the ones with the microchips in the key ,or you could just go out and buy the auto start and keyless entry for the car if it doesn't get the signal from the auto start key it won't start at all

Unless this guy is a complete idiot, I doubt he'd risk jail time for a 1999 Honda Accord. And yes, any good lock smith can replace it for about $80.00.plus parts.

if that is the case you don't have to replace the ignition, that car has an imobilizer system, bring all the keys to your local dealer and have them rerprogram the imobilizer as if you lost all keys, any outstanding keys will not start the car and therfor useless, there will be a charge for this service
