Default why will my 91 honda accord only go in reverse?

it made a whining sound i think it needs a rebuild but i cant find a rebuild kit or know what kind of tranny it is it is an automatic

i just did that to my honda, chances are your front pump went out and did not put forth the proper lubrication to your gears, meaning your tranny is bad, my tranny cost me 3000 dollars yeah, but go to a performance shop they usually have extras laying around cuz everybody usually swaps them out
