I got one for my 17th, Sunset Orange, and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting one! Although the design for some is rather extreme, the functionality of the car is amazing. Here is a list of reasons to buy.1. It's a Honda - (Re-sale value & Quality)2. Rubber Floors and Waterproof Fabric - Don't unleash a hose in it! (speakers and electronics), but cleaning is extremely easy that I will never own a car without it3. Suicide Doors - The passenger doors open out allowing easy loading of people and cargo!4. Seat configuration - The Front and BACK seats recline completley. The Back seats can also be flipped up or removed. Bikes, Boards, and anything else can easily be hauled. 5. iPod/Aux jack. Your music connects directly into the stereo, no more cds or radio transmitters.6. Drive Quality - Feels like an SUV, but not too much to handle and gets good gas mileage. Also handles very well in heavy snow...I know from personal experiences. 7. Turning Radius - Of every car my family and I have ever owned, this car has the best turning radius ever. You may be wondering why this matters. Parking, U-turns, you name it the Element can whip it off easily. It almost seems to pivot on it's back tires.8. Shape - the "Toaster Like" shape offers a huge amount of interior space. Also, the back seats are elevated to theatre style so any seat in the car is great. No more fighting for the front. 9. It was designed for Young Adults - every aspect was stylized for the younger consumer. Magazine racks, rear moon roof, and design.10. Did I say it was a Honda?Great Car, definitley the right purchase.

It's a nice car but depending on how much money you have, you should look into a different car. I like the element a lot but thought the civic coupe and civic Si coupes are very cool and nice. Even the accord coupes are cool.
