1st of all it's a class lower, which means lower price and lower power too. though both models come in saloon as well as coupe versions, the civic is known to be the sportier of the two. and ofcourse now in it's eighth incarnation, the civic is the most successful honda ever. and regarding the subaru WRX, it's definitely a good car and is immensely respected in rally circuits.

-The civic is smaller, costs less, smaller engine, better fuel economy, etc. -The accord is larger, costs more, larger engine, worse (but still good by market standards) fuel economy, etc.In my opinion if you are getting a brand new Honda, get an accord, the newly redesigned civic is extremely UGLY I know it's opinion but it looks like a Pruis an equally ugly partner in crime. The accord is more classy and traditionally styled. Just drive them both and pick the one you like and can afford. As one who has owned both cars the I got tired of my civic pretty quick a little too small and the accord made me happier longer.
