how many milesOver 200,000 miles?

what a car!I owned a 1986 Honda Prelude and I finally sold it to my neighbour kid for $200 in 1999 and it still ran like new then, 160000 miles!!

How long is a piece of string!Seriously, do people ask these dumb questions for a laugh?

that all depnnds on your maintanance schedule. if you follow a strict regiment the engine should go between 200000-300000kms before needing overhaul. the same goes for the body if you keep it spotless the body can last indefinitely.

It will last A Very long time... as long as u keep the maintainence schedule.. 200,000 miles, shouuld last over that if you keep it in good care.. such as don't gas the car to the floor everytime, but just do a smooth accerleration press... etc... such as dont be racin or anything or jus drive normal... and ur good

depends how it was treated. I owned a 92si and it went to 150k miles with zero trouble but I never missed a single maintenance on it. I drove it like a bat out of hell and still had no problems until I decided to install a ludespeed turbo kit that happened to have a wonky boost control setup. About a month after adding the turbo it overboosted, had detonation from hell, melted holes in 2 pistons and self destructed after that. On an otherwise stock motor seeing 20psi isn't a good thing. Looking at the logs the injectors maxed out at about 1atm, and the rest was history. The fact that while it was running, it was an old 2.2l with 150K miles putting down a hair over 300whp, isn't too bad.In short, it depends how it was treated, but I have seen MANY preludes with over 200k miles on them.

If its taken care of almost any car will last over 200k.

honda are made to last up to 500,000 miles. as long as you do your regular maintaince on it and replace the water pump, timing belt, and alternator and starter on time. you can get several years and miles out of it. my 90 accord was at 400,000 miles when i sold it and it was still running well to include the air conditioner and crusie control.

It all depends on the year and what tranny came with it. The 97-02 models are great, IF they're a 5 speed. The sport shift trannies have a tendency of failing at just over 100,000 miles. Also with that gen Prelude, the aluminum heads aren't made to handle many (if any) aftermarket parts. So basically, if it's a 5 speed, you're golden. And even more so if it was manufactured before 1997.

my car is Honda prelude 92 Si, it's over 200.000 miles right now. The engine is still running supper fast. As long as you taking care of it well, you will have no problem with it. I just replaced clutch couple months agao, and I replaced timing belt at 100.000 miles, I will replace it again this summer.
