Default 95 prelude pops out of 5th and into neutral?

I have a 95 Honda Prelude. I recently spent a ton of money fixing everything that was wrong with it. Steering rack, all brakes, power steering pump seals, and most importantly, my clutch. I drove it after being fixed for about 90 miles and then it started popping out of 5th gear and into neutral on me. It was also making a funny noise in or around the tranny too. It always grinded going into 5th but never popped out until after they replaced my clutch. I called the place back and they said that they don't hear a noise and they drove it on the interstate for a while and it never popped out of gear for them. Is there anyway that my sycroles got worse just from them taking out the tranny? How about the throw out bearing? If anyone ahs any ideas I would l.ove to hear them ASAP as I have an appointment this morning at the place to take it out for a ride with them to see if it pops out of gear again. Thank you kindly.

Just removing the tranny to replace the clutch wouldn't damage the interior of the tranny. Just sounds like your synchro's are worn out, they should replace the blocker rings while there in there.

it sounds like it might be the gearing in the transmission... either that or when you shift it in the gear is not completely engaging and the new clutch may not be applying enough pressure on the fly wheel due to improper installation. or if they didn't resurface your flywheel when they installed your clutch might cause it. cause the meterial that your clutch is made out of is like the meterial on your brakes. it needs a little bit of a rough surface when it's brand new to promote even wear and help with the initial breaking in process of the new clutch disc.that's the best explanation that I can come up with!

Try getting some gear lubrication in the gearbox and maybe that will help, I havn't really ever heard of that problem, but that's what I did to help with a sticky, hard shifter... good luck...
