I think it is too new to know yet, but Honda does have an excellent reputation for quality. Good looking truck though.

Reliable, YES...A truck? NO...This Ridgeline is built off of the Honda Odyssey Minivan/Accord platform, it is front wheel drive just like the other two and only part time four wheel-or-all wheel drive.I'd go buy a REAL TRUCK like a Chevy Silverado or a Dodge Ram, If you want IMPORT, look at the Nissan Frontier and Nissan Titan too.Best Wishes, just my two cents..."/JOe

The Ridgeline has been the vehicle that Honda shouldn't have built to start with, it has effectively them very negatively for various reasons.Supposedly their first sales predictions were for about 50K units, and it turns out they have only been selling at half that, with discounts. The reason for this is that Body On Frame trucks (real trucks), use a much more inexpensive architecture. While "Unibody" (like cars) such as the Ridgeline, cost much more to produce. Require more insulation to quiet it, plus much more steel to make it strong for the needs it might have. And reality, it's a modified Accord platform, overburdened for truck duty. Now, because of these issues, the truck needs to sell over $30K prices because it's costlier to produce. This hasn't allowed Honda to post decent sales because majority of F-150's/Silverados sell under that amount. Plus they are willing to discount. So Honda had to start that route as well.It has also dragged down Honda reliability ratings. Some of the long-term organizations have had major issues with it. I believe Edmunds had one where they took it off road, and all shocks broke on it. Many other people have reported water leaks, body integrity, and interior execution below average. Hope this helps...

First off, I have experience with ridgelines. Im a 6 year factory Honda tec. For a easy answer, "yes it is."Give or take, It has the same drive train/motor that's in the 4wd pilots. Pilots have been out since 2003 and I have had NO problems with them mechanically. The new rigelines are basically a pilot with a longer frame for a bed. I wouldn't consider it a real truck, but it looks and sounds good. Drives better than any other domestic truck out there. But the only problems i have had with them was the early ridgelines had some wind noise and the steering wheel made a plastic noise when turning. But this is corrected in the 2007's.Good luck!
