Hi there. I install and repair speedometers for a living. The answer is YES , a speedometer could be added to any quad.1) mounting; decide where you want the Speedo to be mounted. Usually near the front so he does not have to take his eyes off the road too much to see the Speedometer reading. Try not to obscure your vision of the road or other important guages.2) Power and ground: locate the fuse box and find a wire that will support the extra amperage and attach to the side that runs OFF THE FUSE.That way if there is aproblem; the fuse will blow. The ground can be put almost anywhere as long as it is a Good Ground. If no fuse box is available then tap into a power source and put fuse on that.3)signal wire: here is where it can get complicated. most Speedometers are hooked to a speed sensor. You must mount the speed sensor near a wheel Next you put magnets on the wheel for the sensor to pick up a signal.I have had to put up to ten magnets on very large wheels. You will probably only need four or so.4) Calibration; the last thing to do is calibrate the speedometer.usually by flipping dip switches in Speedo or adding or removing magnets.I hope this helps. Good Luck!
