Headers are good if you are looking for more power and speed. Type of headers makes a difference. The idea is to get the exhaust out as quickly and as easily as possible. You then will be able to give the motor more gas and air and you will have more power and speed. Fuel injectors and a chip for the computer along with a good air filter will compliment a nice header set well.

yes they do add horsepower and torque. You can feel the difference. You got to be more careful at higher rpms though because i overed the engine twice and spun the rod on the engine causing me to rebuild 2 engines. So you should just be careful but you do feel the difference in power. Hope i helped you any.

The performance you will feel is in the upper rpm band, and usually you can feel it pull better in third and fourth gear. A set of headers needs to be accompanied by some sort of intake. I suggest AEM cold air intakes. They are by far the best put together and have the most hp gains. By the way, if you were not overreving your engine before, putting headers on is not going to make you overrev your engine. The gain is not that big. The other guy just doesn't know how to drive.

You will be lucky to get 5 hp and thats with a full cat back exhaust. Ask any real tuner that knows what they are talking about and they will tell you the same thing. It has been proven time and time agian on a dyno. Port matching them to the head would help. Don't believe all the manufactures claims of hp, 99 % of the time they dont give you the whole story. As for a brand go with DC sports. It will help your top end slightly, and it will sound alittle different.

headers get the air out to the exhaust as fast as possible making it burn better and faster. they add good HP but do have one flaw on honda's. almost every civic that has headers on it sounds like a damn BEE driving down the highway..no one wants to hear the fart can with the bee sound so if ur going with headers get a really nice high flow cat and catback exhaust. also if u get cams for ur car it will be alot louder and faster..just a warning though many things u do to a honda will cuase it to sound more like bee instead of something nice. good luck
