When you change your oil it should say 100%. The more you drive, the lower the oil life will get, so the 15% on your odometer means your almost out of usable oil for your engine. It's time for an oil change.

this depends on the brand and type of oil used.If you use synthetic oil, you could easily go 12,000 miles.with conventional, probably 6500.when the life gets to 75%, change it.

It is the cars computer telling you it needs a oil change. It calculated this by the milage and the time the car is running. It also calculated it by the rpms (how high the engine revs)If you brought it to a non honda shop or done the oil change yourself the system just needs resetting. If not you need to get your oil changed.here is how to reset it if you change the oil yourself or have had jiffy lube do it.1) Turn the ignition switch to the ON(II) position.2)Press the Select/Reset knobrepeatedly until the engine oil lifedisplay is displayed.3)Press the Select/Reset knob formore than 10 seconds. The engineoil life indicator and themaintenance item code(s) willblink.4)Press the Select/Reset knob formore than 5 seconds. Themaintenance item code(s) willdisappear, and the engine oil lifewill reset to ‘‘100.’’*all of this can be found in your owners manual under maintance

i am a manager at a honda dealership. You need to have your oil changed. Refer to your owners manual about this. Your sales rep should have explained this feature to you when he/she sold you your car.....if they were doing their job.

I am also at 15% on my 2006 Honda...when I went to the dealer yesterday for an oil change, the service guy told me my car wasn't ready for one yet...I was to run it down to 5% (closer to 0% the better) before I get my oil changed...
