I don't think they ever sold them in the US, but everyone here likes to go to checker and put the $5 type-R badge on their base model civic with its thunderous 1.6L 4 cylinder. I laugh and blow their doors off with my G35.

I would personally go for a JDM 2001 Prelude Type R in Electric Blue Pearl. It has the H22a in it. 200hp stock. That'll beat any civic around (seeming how about 1 out of 1000 of them you see is really souped up).

Wow metalhead you should change your name to bonehead. All H22 preludes have 200hp. The type-r civic has 185 hp and weighs significantly less than a lude. CTRs have LSD trannies and close gear ratios making them perfect for drag racing. They only sell in europe and asia so good luck landing one. You can buy the motor but it might be cheaper getting a integra type r motor and going from there.
