AirbagS? As in more than one? Lots. You are looking at around $1,500 per unit, so replacing two would be in excess of $3 grand with everything.

If this car has had a bad AIRBAG module - you better make sure it has not been wrecked ! Were the bags detonated ? If so - I would pass - it has been rapped hard ..Otherwise - call honda and ask about service bulletins - In some states safety system like seat belts are warranted for the life of the car - I think air bags system may also be warranted for at leat 100K miles

It is very expensive to replace the airbags, you might be able to sign a waiver regarding the airbags, it would be noted on your registration. Contact your state's licensing agency to see if they have this program.

you can junkyard it for around 1200 dollars for everything but finding someone to install them may be impossible because of the "liabilty" involved

First of all, make sure that this car WAS NOT WRECKED. Everything starts going wrong once a car is wrecked. Also make sure the airbags never went off, because that significantly lowers the car's value. But as long as it wasn't wrecked, and the airbags didn't go off, I would buy it and just keep no airbags in it. Then again, if I had a 2001 prelude I would take out the airbags. Airbags are not good for people who drive with one hand on top of the wheel, because when they go off it'll shove your hand right through your face, and break your arm. And by saying that I drive with one hand on the top of the wheel, I am in no way saying that I drive aggressively, because I don't. It just gives you better control.

it is not worth it, sooner or later those airbags are going to hurt you if you are in a accident. they may not deploy or something, so my advice is to not buy this car...
