Set Turbo. This makes for a mean sounding/running machine on the road or the strip.

I'm sorry....did you just say 1980 Honda Accord and Hotrod in the same sentence?

start at "summit racing" and check out the stuff that they have for your ride. Then get a second job to afford all the goodies that it is going to take to make it a Really Hi Pro Ride ! You can spend thousands of dollars on the engine alone But don't forget that the more you do to the engine the more it is going to cost to do the suspinsion.....trans...........differential....... .....exhaust.....& induction system. Or Find someone that is good at fabricating and have them put a 4.3L vortec , trans & differential in the little beast !

I am doing the same with my 1996 Ford Probe. The first thing I would get and actually did get was headers and an exhaust to up the horsepower. I don't know much about cars yet but thats what my boyfriends first suggestion to me was. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Well, you begin at your engine. However, if you wish to do this, it will take a lot of money, so I hope you're loaded. I would recommend either a JDM H22a (From newer Preludes or some JDM Accords) or JDM B18c5 (From Integra Type R). Replace all the internals including putting in low-compression pistons, and don't go cheap on this. Buy a racing head, performance headers (get the 4 into 1 headers if you can), replace the exhaust with NO BIGGER THAN 2.5", replace all suspension including sway bars and adding strut bars (and don't get the cheap ones from ebay), get a nice intake and put a K&N or AEM filter on it, get a racing clutch, heavy duty flywheel, put in disc brakes, racing brake pads, steel-braided brake line. Oh almost forgot a turbo from Turbonetics or Greddy or somewhere reputable, cheap ones won't work for long. And all of this is just for starters.
