Default I have a 96 honda accord 2.0 ils.When idiling the revs go down to about 400-500 revs.?

This is usally when car warmed up.But usally when i dip clutch when coming to a stop.

Loss of compression in 2 cylinders at least ,have them all tested plus the injection system may need flushing ,your dealer is best for this one.Have your alternator tested as well could be getting tired.you say this occurs when warm .the engine expands then so problems appear .

I had the same problem with my 97 vtec. When diagnosed, I found out that the idle up sensor/map sensor (the small black box in the throttle body) is busted. Thus the air going into the chamber is either not enough or too much at there is no sensor regulating the flow. Have your alternator checked also for lose of amp can make the rpm dip.

sounds like the tps (throttle position sensor) im almost positive. ive had 8 hondas and ive replaced about 3 of these. they are cheap usualy around 30 dollars and easy to put in
