go to the dealer and get a new key. DO NOT call a locksmith. it will cost too much (at least $100 or more). get the key from the dealer-it's about $12 each. maake sure you take your registration and your i.d. with you.

go to the dealer. bring you registration or title AND your drivers license. They will need to verify that you own the car. The key will cost you about 5 bucks. The honda dealer will put your vin in the computer and get your key code( you will not have to pay for them to look up the code for you), a locksmith can only cut you a key from another key or remove the cylinder and copy the code.Then they can cut the key. It is ALOT cheaper than having a locksmith do it for you. The civics didnt get immobilizer chips put in their keys until 2001 so getting your key will be cheap and easy!
