You must be covering a hell of a lot of miles.Or if the weather is cold and the roads are salty, try lubricating the exhaust pipes with some engine oil. Will protect from corrosion.

That sounds like awfully poor performance for a Honda...have you had this car since it was new? It might be worth having someone check your emissions...see if the catalytic converter might be bad.Good luck!

Make sure you get your car washed at a place with an undercarriage bath w/rust inhibitor. Also they may be installing a cheap untreated pipe on your exhaust...go somewhere else, and,or get a stainless steel exhaust.

Your problem seems a little odd. I have a 1988 honda accord and i did a custom after market exhaust. I live in Northern New Jersey where we see quite a bit of snow and the salt is just deadly to the exhaust and body of the car. In 2003 i did a full 2.25" custom exhaust at a place called Mufflex here in Trenton NJ. there is no leaks nor rusts or falling parts from my exhaust in the past four years and i drive an average of 27000 (yes 27 thousand) miles a year. I do not recommend changing the exhaust at Honda Dealerships and definitely not at Minekie or any other places. I searched up State recommended places to have my exhaust done and bingo they were right.

I live in Michigan, I worked for Midas for a few years and this is what we seen all the time. The thing is, when aftermarket exhaust is put on, its not very good quality....hands down. There are good quality exhaust available, but the price you will pay is not worth it. Honda (along with all other car manufacurers) are now using stainless steel exhaust, which lasts much longer than previous metals used. But in a nutshell...pay for a good exhaust system, or replace it every few years.
