will it fit. the engines are of the same year the 1.2 engine is out of a single point injection as is the 1.1. they are the standard engines ie. the car doesnt have power steering air con etc. the 1.2 is a 60sx and the 1.1 is a 55s cheers tom

y on earth would you even consider such a thing 1.2 is bad enough but then going to a 1.1 what a waste of time

FIAT - Fix It Again Tomorrowawful coke can construction car - ditch it!Hang on - 1.1 - didn't know there was a 1.1 - dodgy!!!!!That 1.1 comment was sarcasm by the way - for the so called mechanic that said they didn't make one!!!!

If the engine you have is not from a Punto then forget it. If it is you may be better off replacing the engine, gearbox and clutch in one go to avoid any conflict with gearbox and clutch

Don't waste your time, Friend. Might as well get a A KIA Pircanto 1.1 from Korea. A more reliable car than FIAT

Yeah it'll fit, you'll need some expanding foam and tie raps from your local B & Q and possible a scientist from NASA to reprogramme your E.C.U to make it work. Or better yet take the 1.1 engine and £13 down to your local scrappy and swap it for an engine which'll fit straight in.
