man oh man, it's tough to troubleshoot your transmission problem without seeing your car. However, if it's an electronic problem related to the transmission control unit, you will see a green flashing "S" on your dashboard. If not, it's probably a mechanical problem with your transmission.

I have the same problem exactly . My drive light is flashing as well . I heard it could be the transmission control module/unit (I have seen both terms used not sure which is right ) . If you get an answer please let me know ! I think I am going to order one from partsforless.com .
