Default Exhaust Question .......?

I'm seeking to upgrade the exhaust on my 96 accord. I came across a system I liked but i have not heard of HAYAME. Has anyone else heard of this brand, and if so what do you think of their headers & catback systems? ......

i own a shop, and i have heard of them, and looked at their products,as far as i can tell they look good,i don't know anyone who has used them though, but the quality of their stuff looked pretty good,i seen a system for a Nissan is how i found out about them, you could try one of there systems, the may turn out to be really good,i was thinking about using one on a Nissan i have ,and i haven't really decided on it yet,but they cant be no worse than any of the other ones, and i did notice that the price was a a little cheaper,so they may be a good system to go with, good luck with it,i hope this help,s,,,PS if you try one of them ,come back and post it so we know if there any good.

I have never heard of them. Of course, when you start upgrading you will find like me you stick to certain brands. Reason is there are so many off shoots it is hard to keep up with them all. What you can do is go to an automotive shop and check out prices and compare. I find things like headers and tail pipes are for me, generic items. That is it is not a part, like a stereo system, that takes a rocket scientist to build. So after a while, I look at prices of stuff like muffler tail pipes, headers, and stuff. Example, I can go to Edlebrock for say screws and bolts for the pan gasket and then go to the generic stuff and pay 50% less. Just depends if you know what to look for. Just do like I do. Read the car magzines and after a while you will see what I mean. Like the mechanic said on one magazine, "If you buy aspirin in the generic box or the brand name box, the brand name cost more. But yet the two aspirins are exactly the same. You pay for the name and fancy box." I bought some headers for my truck and bought the cheapest ones i could find. Of course, the internet had a better price than the store. 3 years and my Chevy Truck still running good.

I have heard of Hayame, but dont know how good they are. I know they dont break like ebay, but I dont know how they are on gains either.I can give you advice on what to buy.... For a header you should get a megan....about 150 and they have proven results. They are equal to DC sports minus the additional 250 bucks. You know those 900 TODA headers and Hytech headers??? Well I know someone who dyno'd a megan header and a hytech and the megan came 2hp short. So you decide if ya wanna spend 700 bucks for 2 hp.As for catback I would suggest RS*R. It is made in Japan, a great company in general. If you want a more heard of name I would suggest skunk2. Another off brand that I have heard of is Tsudo, I have a friend running it on his B16a EK and he loves it.Like the other guy said there is so many brands to keep up with you just start favoring other more than some because you have experience with them, and you dotn want to switch around to another brand.....unless the other one sucked haha
