All it does is change the position of the shifter handle. There is no difference other than that.

Both will work fine. Usually it is overkill to install these on a stock Honda. It works better on ones with aftermarket clutches because there is less pedal feel and action which is further complimented by the shorter throw shifters.Stock 94-01 integra ones feel great on civics, but you have to cut down the bushing area where they bolt in. Plus these stock ones won't break like the cheap aluminum ones. I have broke one DC sports aluminum and one B&M, and I don't beat up my car or shift hard. These aluminum ones don't last too long.Just a suggestion and idea.KC

Short shifters are pretty overrated. I recommend using a 94-01 GSR shifter instead of a shortie. I have one in my 00 Civic Si.If your bent on buying a shortie then I would go with B&M.
