Default How to increase horsepower in My 2003 Honda Civic LX Automatic.?

Hi I have a 2003 Honda Civic LX 4dr Automatic (presant). I have a 1.75 inch catback exhaust (flowmaster) AEM cool Air Intake, and Jetchip upgrade for my civic. Is there any other way to get 10-30 more HP increase without the aid of a Supercharger, Turbocharger, NOS, or engine upgrade? Please let me know

take a look at getting lighter flywheels. also, try double tipped spark plugs. and try a higher flow fuel pump.

There are plenty of ways to get a few more horses out of any car. The easiest are bolt-ons such as underdrive pulleys, larger throttle-body, larger MAS air intake, etc. With a small engine, the most important thing is to eliminate as many restrictions to air flow as you can. I have even heard of people taking their heads off to enlarge and polish the ports.Honestly, though, you will never be able to tell the difference in 10-20 horsepower. I know it "feels" better to have as much HP as you can squeeze out of a tiny engine, but it will make not a bit of difference on the road. The single biggest (and cheapest) thing you can do to improve your car's performance is to reduce weight. Hondas are already pretty light, but anything you can safely remove will help out. I have even seen people take out all the seats but the driver's. I guess if you were that serious, though, you wouldn't be driving a Honda.

You may or may not feel the difference of the horse power but it really doesn't matter more power is more power. For your car you could go a bit bigger in the exhaust the stock exhaust is 1.75 most after market exhaust are going to be any were from 2-2.5 inches. High flow cat, headers, under drive pulleys, cams and cam gears. More fuel won't get you more horse power and unless your going to go turbo, supercharger or Nitrous (NOS is a brand) you shouldn't have to upgrade your fuel system really you the more power you make you will start to max out what the fuel system can handle but you'll need to make more then just another 10-30 HP to start getting there.. The Jetchip won't make a lot of power or changes with what you have it will make a bigger difference if you put cams in though or other major HP parts. Don't forget to do the suspension too for good handling to go with the power.
