Are there any big differences between the 03 and 04 Civic in terms of the mechanical build and dependability of the vehicles? I'm looking to buy and can afford either year, but would prefer the 03 to save a few bucks. Just wondering if there were any significant changes that make the 04's superior in any way.Thanks.

i own a repair shop,and between the two of those, there's hardly any difference at all on them,they basically use the same everything almost,so your not gong to gain anything other than a year newer,if you do buy the 04 model,,the 03 is basically the same on these,good luck i hope this help,s.

i believe that mechanically and suspension wise they are identical

They are the same they don't change again until 06.

no big differents, only the 04 civic head light looks sharper than the 03 civic, you can go the GOOGLE to check the image 01-03, and 04-05. save your money, they are all good.good luck

It's essentially the same vehicle.Decades ago, Honda implemented a very successful model update 4 year cycle. This means that a relatively major upgrade to the entire line is done once in 4 years: 2002-2005, 2006-2010, etc.This system allows them to eliminate any deficiencies and enhance the entire line on a timely basis.
