Default car's trunk wont open with fuel/trunk latch, but opens with the key. The "push" function for...

...fuel works.help!!

Without looking at it, it is hard to say, but it sounds as though the cable running to the latch is either stretched to where it won't work or completely snapped.

the cable must be jam or snapped. this usually happen during winter time

If it's anything like my honda, there should be a keyhole next to the latch, you should just be able to unlock it with the key. this will allow the trunk latch to operate. It's a safety thing, if your car gets broken into, they can't get into the trunk without a key, kind of like a glovebox lock. the valet key won't work on it either

u need a trunk cable...the trunk and fuel cable are all in one but it can affect them seperatly ive replaced a couple of them
