I have a 1995 Honda Civic EX. I always let the car run for about 5 minutes on the winter days. The Temperature Gauge goes up to little less than half which is good. The thing is when I start driving the gauge goes down almost touch C. Is this normal?plus I filled up the Coolant about 4 days ago but It's already almost depleted. The Coolant I'm filling it with is a 50/50 ready coolant

Be sure you don't have antifreeze leaking anywhere. If you don't it could be a problem related to the thermostat on the car. A friend owns a 97 civic ex and it's gauge reads higher while it is siting, so I think that part is normal. Hopefully this helps.

That is not normal even on winter! You must have it checked as soon aspossible. Just what like I'm always saying, Every single guage the manufacturer put in our car is very impoetant even tough we don't realize it that much.

Make sure your coolant is mixed with 50/50 water coolantto give you the best protection. If you use all coolant theboiling point will be lowered. Also too much water will causethe coolant to freeze at a higher temperature. Check for coolantleaks.
