...shifting into gear? Recently it starts fine but will not shift from Park into Reverse or Drive. I have to turn the car off and try again and after several attempts it eventually will go into gear. I'm not sure if it is electrical or not. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Because the transmission is going out. Take it from a girl with expirence.

Auto trans cable? Is it all the way in park when you try to move it?When in park is it easy to start? Get the tranny cable checked.

More than likely, its your automatic transmission's "shifter cable" that has broken, snapped, etc. My accord did this years ago, it shifted into P, R, and D perfectly and one day it was just very hard to get my car into D or R. I took my accord to a local mechanic and I beleive the total bill for replacing the "shifter cable" was $120.00, and that's using genuine Honda parts. If it's not your shifter cable, then you have transmission problems, which could cost you thousands of dollars to fix.

you need to install a new brake light switch pretty quick because you only have brake lights intermentally the part should only be about 15 or 20 dollars from your local honda dealer.. TO CONFIRM THAT THE SWITCH IS BAD HAVE A FRIEND STAND BEHIND YOUR CAR AND WATCH YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS WHILE YOU PUMP THEM OVER AND OVER AND MAKE SURE YOU TELL THEM TO LET YOU KNOW WHEN THEY ARE ON AND OFF
