Default New Rotors on my 1998 accord?

WHen I pressed the brakes going over 40mph, my brakes vibnrated, sounding like a playing card on the spokes of a bike. I had my rotors replaced and the sound has diminished, but I just drove it at at 40 MPH, i hear the sound when the car slows to about 20 MPH. its much fainter, but stillt there. THe break pads were put on about 1000 miles ago *(before I replaced the rotors). can the pads cause the sound? should they replace the pads? What else could cause that "playing card in the spokes" sound when I brake at speeds of 40+ mph?

You need new pads. That noise is telling you they are going. You should had new pads put on with the new rotors. You might need to have your new rotors resurfaced.

the pads were wore funny from the bad set of rotors that you took off and now you put new rotors on with the older pads and the pads aren't hitting the new rotors evenly causing your noise, you should always replace the pads when you put on new rotors.

Dismount your brake pads and sand them until the crystalization (shiny surface) becomes dull. Also, sand the edges and round them a little bit. If you changed ur brake pads 1000 miles b4 changing your rotors, there is no need to buy new brake pads.

It sounds like it's the brake pads even though you had it changed. Because when you changed the brake pads you didn't change the rotor, until after a while wihich caused the brake pad to be unbalanced. and let me guest the rotors were unsmooth, and bumpy
