Default Where do I put transmission fluid into a 2001 Honda Accord?

I found where to check it and it's low. Where do I put the fluid in?

in the check port, make sure you're using the right fluid. Honda/Acura likes being different, and are the ONLY vehicle manufactures where you have to check the fluid with the engine off. Do not over fill and use a CLEAN and DRY funnel to get the fluid in. Just add little dribbles at a time to make sure you don't over fill, and stop at the top (or very close to) the top of the crosshatched section. I deal with Honda/Acura a lot and I have done lots of reading. Right from the manufacture, Engine turned off, and on a level surface and when COLD check the fuild level.

Put it in the same place you check it. You will need a narrow funnel then put in slowly. Most of the time you only need a little bit. DONT OVER FILL! Also mak sure you check the fluid level while the car is running and in park.

the best bet is to check in the owners manual for all the info. if you do not have one ask a mechanic or the dealer. i figure if you go to a garage or lube place and buy the fluid from them, they will do it fo free

it depends...if its a 4cyl then u can easily use a funnel to fill it back up from the same spot that u checked it from...if its a v6 then u can use the same tube that the dipstick came out of but u need to find a really small funnel...there is a fill bolt that u can remove to fill it from on the v6 but there a 17 mm and very tight so your best best is to just use where u checked it from...be careful though when u pour some in it will make it hard to read on the stick so u may want to pour some in and wait an hr and check it again with your next trip since the trans needs to be at operating temp.....if u checked it when the vehicle was cold it will show up a bit low...and use only honda fluid...any other fluid will burn up that trans...and them transmissions in them are very commin to go out..but it should be under warranty if u have under 109k on your car
